Hotung International Co., Ltd. (“HIC”) incorporated in March 1997, is a Taiwanese venture capital fund manager.  HIC was vested fund management and advisory business from Hotung V.C. in 1987.  HIC is 41.4% owned by Hotung Investment Holdings Ltd. (“HIHL”) while the remaining is held by core investors including Tai Lung Capital Inc. (formally known as Tai Lung Corp.) Daiwa Corporate Investment Co., Ltd.(formally known as Daiwa SMBC Capital Co., Ltd.) and Mega International Commercial Bank (formally known as Chiao Tung Commercial Bank Co Ltd).

At present, HIC manages 7 domestic and 1 foreign funds and total assets under management at NT$8,150 million (US$248 million).  HIC has become one of the largest fund management firms in Taiwan with 20 years of experience in venture capital practices. In addition to acting as a capital supplier, HIC provides portfolio companies with value-added services.  Collectively, the key managements have over 200 years of experience in securities, private equity, and venture capital business.  

To increase competitiveness and maintain its leading industry status, HIC intends to continue pursuing local investment opportunities in Taiwan, while also gradually increasing the proportion of the Greater China and the US investments in its portfolios.
